Built in the 1930's, the villa has an incomparable charm with its busts of Tiberius, Marcus Aurelius, Cesar Augustus and Nero emerging from the terraces, its numerous archeological treasures embedded in the facade and its eclectic collection of objects, ceramics, books. It combines elegance, comfort and simplicity. The house totals 175m2 and consists of a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, 4 bedrooms (3 with a view, 1 with no view but benefiting from a private roof terrace and shower with a view) with en-suite bathrooms, 1 guest bathroom, plus a storage and a laundry room. The housekeeper cleans every day in the mid-afternoon for 2 hours and takes care of the laundry. Podere Quercia is a stunning property set in the Val d'Orcia. From the house and from the infinity swimming pool one can enjoy breath-taking views over the Tuscan country side and the town of Montalcino. The house has been totally restored and refurbished to a very high standard with a tasteful combination of antique furniture and modern comfort, such as air-conditioning in all the rooms and a small gym. All the rooms have their own bathroom and are air-conditioned. Three of the four bedrooms are in the main house and a fourth bedroom is in the annex. This annex has a little kitchen with a small fridge, water, a water cooker and a coffee maker. Also you will find a little terrace with two chairs and a table where you can sit and enjoy the view overlooking the valley all the way up to Montalcino. The area is wonderful for cycling and hiking if you would want to, or to explore the most beautiful small towns throughout the Val d'Orcia, such as Montalcino, Pienza, San Quirico d'Orcia, Bagno Vignoni and ofcourse Siena, with it's famous Piazza del Campo and the Duomo.
